What is Data Board?
An engineering delivery + capacity workspace for teams that run many jobs in parallel — planning, ownership, status, and capacity in one place instead of scattered chats and sheets.
Built for industrial / plant / mechatronics contexts, not generic consumer task apps.
Who is it for?
Eng and ops teams roughly 10–80 people in machine building, automation, special machines, plant engineering, and similar — where “too many parallel jobs” is the default pain.
Is it free?
Yes during beta. No credit card. Pricing comes later (self-serve when ready). We’ll communicate clearly before anything paid.
Do I need IT to start?
Usually no for a pilot. Sign up at app.databoardapp.com, invite a small group, and run one active program.
Larger rollouts (SSO, procurement, data policies) can follow once the pilot proves value.
Where is the company based?
Based in Switzerland. We don’t claim “Swiss Made” for the software — that phrase is reserved for product-origin claims we don’t make.
How is this different from Jira / Excel / a whiteboard?
Those tools can track tasks. Plant eng teams still lose the capacity picture: who is overloaded, which parallel jobs collide, and whether you can commit to the next project.
Data Board is aimed at delivery and capacity for that world — not at replacing every issue tracker on day one.
Can we use it alongside our existing tools?
Yes for beta. Many teams keep engineering tickets where they are and use Data Board as the capacity + program board so leadership and leads share one view.
Is our data safe?
We take access and data handling seriously as we grow the beta. For security / DPA questions, contact us via the site — we’ll answer plainly.
What’s on the roadmap?
Beta focus: make parallel-job delivery and capacity obvious for mid-size plant/mechatronics teams. Features follow real pilot feedback — not a giant waterfall roadmap slide.
